Parents of 1st years had breakfast in the library with us on Wedneaday 1 October, after which they went to a talk given by the Year Head, Ms Doherty. Here is a pdf version of Ms Doherty's presentation.

Mr Abrahamian then spoke to the parents about the new Junior Cycle in the lecture theatre. Here is a pdf version of Mr Abrahamian's presentation.

Many thanks to everyone involved as it was a lovely morning at the Manor!

Ukulele Club

The Ukulele Club is open to all students and teachers, beginners and experts alike. It takes place on Mondays from 1pm to 1.30pm. The group meets in the Lecture Theatre where they jam along to a variety of pieces by Bruno Mars, Jason Mraz, Vance Joy, John Lennon, John Denver and others. It is informal, our main aim is to encourage people to play along in a convivial setting. The majority of students are from 2nd and 5th year with the 'leaders' coming from 3rd year.

Due to the Easter holidays and the busy lead-up to the music practicals, the club is on a break. Ms Higgins says that the next session will take place on Monday 25 April 2016. In the meantime, members should keep practising these pieces.
