Debating

In recognition of the continued interest and success at many levels of debating, the debating society was established in 2004 with the approval of the school principal.

The society is open to all students and consists of two chambers: Junior( 1st to 3rd student) and Senior (4th to 6th year).

Debates are held on a regular basis,internal debates are usually held at lunch time. Debaters compete in a number of external competitions: Denny leinster Schools (Formerly ESB),Concern, L & H Mace Debates and invitational events.

The school has hosted and been invited to a number of friendly debates. A number of students have gone on to debate in prestigious institutions such as The Oxford Union.
